Crossing borders – Nurhan’s multilingual beginnings
When did my love for languages flourish?
As a young child, I moved with my parents to Prague, where I spent three years, mixing with kids at the international school, learning the piano, playing in summer gardens, and thoroughly assimilating European languages and culture.
That formative experience gave me early exposure to hopping between languages, mediating between people, and an awareness of different ways of looking at the world – all of which feed into my role today as a professional who helps people from other languages and cultural backgrounds achieve optimal results when working in the Arab regions, whether in the business or development sectors – in which I specialise.
But that childhood stay in the Czech Republic was not my only European experience. I later went on to complete my Master’s at Leeds University in the UK and thus have a thorough practical and academic grounding in English, as well as being fluent in Spanish.
The rest is history!
Since 2013 I’ve been helping my clients to break into the Arab market and I can help you do the same.
